Angelica Network curator meet-up

On Friday 8 December we will welcome Angelica artists/curators to meet with Belfast-based curators including: Ciara Hickey (Household), Sarah McAvera and Mary Stevens (Golden Thread Gallery), Ben Crothers (The Naughton Gallery), Hugh Mulholland (The MAC), Davy Mahon and Clodagh Boyce (PSĀ²), Chandini Tandon (Belfast Exposed), Alessia Cargnelli (NIVAL).

Angelica aims to amplify the voices of artists based on the island of Ireland who self-identify as women or minority gender, and are also from underrepresented cultural or ethnic backgrounds.

Angelica is a wildflower. A global nomad of temperate areas - including Ireland - and believed to have originated in Syria, it is a much-mythologised plant. Angelica is widely understood as an agent which promotes support and deeper meaning, one which eradicates apathy and surface-level perspectives.

This event is only open to members of Angelica Network. If you are interested in joining the network, please use the form on the website to get in touch.
