As with all of our siteboard imagery, Eimear’s work will remain on-site until it is reclaimed by the elements.
Anam na húire
PeasPark
Eimear Nic Roibeaird
Coinciding with Lughnasadh and Fleadh Cheoil na hÉireann, Anam na húire - meaning ‘soul of the fresh earth’ - is a new work made directly in response to PeasPark.
The harvest season is also associated with craftsmanship, community spirit, and the recognition that all growth comes with effort, and all rewards come with responsibility. The currently abundant foliage and rich crop of fruit in PeasPark is a result of our warmer-than-average weather in recent months. However, with growing concerns of drought, we are reminded that nature’s balance is precarious.
