BIFPA in-conversation: ‘You had to be there’
PS² Project Space (first floor)
selina bonelli, Jayne Cherry, Zara Lyness, Siobhan Mullen, Sinead O'Donnell, Rainer Paget, Thomas Wells and others to be announced...
We hope that you can join us for a breakfast event which celebrates the long view of groundbreaking performance projects that have taken place in Belfast since the 1990s.
Celebrating key people including BIFPA founder Brian Connolly, Bbeyond founder Brian Patterson, alongside pivotal organisations such as ARE, Catalyst Arts, Array and key projects such as the influential FIX Festival, BOUNCE and Belfast 2024. We will be taking a practice-led lens on the influence and impact that performance programming has had on artist-led organisations, and sharing the significant moments and memories of actions that could be said to have “changed everything”. There will be plenty of time for discussion between attendees, speakers and guests to reflect on the past, present and possible future of performance in the city.
Refreshments including teas, coffees, pastries and fruit will be provided.
A range of seating options are available, including chairs, benches, and beanbags. Please contact jane@pssquared.org to confirm any access requirements, e.g. a hard-backed chair, so that these can be reserved for you.
PS² is primarily supported by: The National Lottery through the Arts Council of Northern Ireland; Belfast City Council through the Artists' Studios & Workspace Organisational Grant; and Arts & Business NI Blueprint Investment Grant.
Selected programmes are funded by: Belfast City Council Bank of Ideas, Necessity, Freelands Foundation and Arts Council England, Esmé Mitchell Trust, and project partners including NI Screen and Outburst Queer Arts Festival.
