How We Get Free
A Black Feminist Performance Art Programme
Curated by Clodagh Assata Boyce
Ends 20 December 2025
How We Get Free invites global majority artists from North and Republic to engage with Black Feminist theory and practices in the context of performance art.
PS² and PS³ will host artists working across performance, photography and film engaging with and unpacking ideas around refusal and marginalisation posed by radical, Black, queer, feminist artists in the late 20th Century.
The public programme will activate the spaces through discussions and interventions that challenge mainstream narratives around identity today, culminating in a presentation of material generated throughout, including visual and written documentation and performative traces.
This expansive project marks the culmination of Clodagh Assata Boyce's tenure as Curator in Residence in PS², which has been characterised by making connections with different communities in the city and curating projects with an emphasis on collaboration.
