The Lagan Lighter lives!!

Artist-plumber-inventor-explorer-legend Paddy Bloomer has been working away on the bus-turbine-tower-boat for a while, giving her a total makeover with paint job and 🪩DANCE FLOOR🪩 no less!

AXI 2554 is back on the high seas (the River Bann), making an epic journey from Coleraine to Portadown. So if your mid-Ulster friends or relatives are like ‘wtf did I just see?’ then they don’t need to be committed and you can tell them the whole story!


We commissioned this brilliant vessel through our project WATER WORKS, for Belfast 2024 year of culture. You can see the process from the very start here.
